Oddly, however, in the metaverse, the economics behind these concepts (most specifically ownership) are completely different. It's like comparing quantum physics to astrophysics. The metaverse is a post-scarcity world, where digital object ownership (exclusivity, prevention of access, use, etc.) have totally different implications and value systems than physical ownership has in the real. Identity is also different, and people can and often do regularly switch between anonymous, pseudonymous, and known. Financial value, meanwhile, is a byproduct of features, limitations, post-scarcity, content appeal, and uptime, among many other factors.
